I am always searching for a wild flower field and somehow that topic came up at work. My coworker told me to check out Point Dume because there are tons of flowers over there and it's a lovely hike. So a couple of weeks ago, I ventured out to Point Dume in Malibu. It was the most beautiful day to be out by the ocean soaking up some sun. The wild preserve area on top of the cliffs were filled with flowers and I was prancing around like a little kid. My friend and I decided to make a day out of it so I was prepared and brought a few of my favorite pieces from PacSun with me. I wore this gingham sundress by Lottie Moss for PacSun which coincidentally matched the flowers! And then I changed into this matching two-piece top and shorts also by Lottie Moss for PacSun. We grabbed a pina colada at the bar while we waited for the sunset where I slipped into a darling floral dress by Kendall & Kylie for PacSun. If you noticed in the photos I was carrying a couple of cute woven bags, they are both from Kayu (see details at the end of this post)!

Wow. It's been a hot minute since I have written a blog post. This year has been strange, different, or however you like to call it. The second half of last year was spent mostly traveling and not really working, hence why I have been hustling nonstop the past few months. On top of my multiple blog/freelance projects, I started working part-time for an advertising agency as well as a beauty company. Blowing my savings last years might not be wise but to me, it was worth it. "Work. Save. Travel. Repeat." is kind of like my motto nowadays. Even though I might have been absent on here, I am still active and posting daily over on my Instagram if you aren't already following me. Actually, is anyone still read this? If you are, please do leave a comment so I know my reader still exist!

I came across this quote on a friend's instastory last week and it really resonates with me. In case you don't already know... I was living in the San Francisco Bay Area for 21 years before moving to LA on a whim less than a year ago. LA wasn't even in my radar. NYC was where I wanted to go but it would take more time to plan and actually move. If you ask me now "What's next?" I honestly don't have an answer. I have travelled to many places in the world but nothing feels like home. Paris might be the closest. I haven't truly figured out what it is but something about it feels different. Lately, it has been raining more than usual and I am feeling nostalgic so here are the rest of photos from Paris which I haven't yet posted anywhere...

When LA can't decide if it wants to be hot or cold, you have to be creative with what you wear. It is either 50°F one day and 80°F the next or 50°F in the morning and 70°F by noon. Layering is key but if you are running around all day from meetings to meetings you don't want to be lugging too many things. So, my solution is a combo of light layers with pieces that can keep you warm when it's cold but won't make you break a sweat when it's hot. This black lace romper is perfect to play with. It is dressy and feminine but I toned it down with an utility jacket. I styled it with a pair of over the knee boots which help shield the chill when the wind blows and this darling little faux fur hangbag I picked up at a boutique in Paris. But really though, LA weather, can you make up your mind please?

Nearly two months later and I am finally down to my last two posts from Paris! It's been a long time coming! I myself have also come a long way in terms of being comfortable and not feeling awkward when being photographed in public. I remember back in my early blogging days I would get so self-conscious shooting on the street and always wanted to just "get it over with". But I have been doing this for over six years so it's no wonder I got used to it. Nowadays, I don't care. Although when I shot at Musée Rodin in Paris two months ago, it was slightly awkward given the fact that it was nearly 30°F and everyone was layered up in big jackets and scarves but I was wearing this dress. On top of that, it was crazy busy since it was the holiday. You can't tell in the photos because every 2 minutes we had to wait 10 minutes for people to pass by to get a clear shot. The amount of stares I got was countless. I powered through though because I brought this stunning sequined dress by NBD from Revolve to Paris with me to shoot. This dress is insanely beautiful and fits like a dream and I am so happy with how it turned out!
