If you have read my previous post, you would know that I recently moved to a new city. I am still settling in and figuring out worthy places to shoot at, but until then this wall will suffice. It was oddly windy the other day so I pulled out this awesome button down tunic, the combination of the lightweight plaid bodice and the cable knit sleeves was perfect for the breeze. Not only do I love the contrasting textures and patterns, I also love the denim collar and cuffs as well as the asymmetrical hem. I paired it with some leather leggings, Miista croc print booties, and my new leather fringe bag in the most gorgeous shade of taupe gray from Irene's Story. On a different note, tomorrow is my birthday and I am taking a mini roadtrip to the Madonna Inn to celebrate! Follow me on Instagram as I'm sure I'll be posting tons of photos during my stay!

I am finally back from my week-long hiatus! I spent the past couple of weeks packing, moving, and now unpacking. One thing I thought I would really miss about living in Santa Cruz is being so close to the ocean but San Mateo is really only 20 minutes from the coast and it feels great being back in the bay area and closer to everything (I lived in Oakland for 14 years). I am also loving my new apartment and I can't wait to show you all once I finish organizing and decorating! Anyways, these photos are from my last photoshoot in Santa Cruz before moving. I wore an embroidered floral organza top and grid patterned trumpet skirt, both from On Sixth Cloud, paired with a light pink leather moto jacket from F21. I finished the look with some black accessories and these awesome reflective sunglasses by Silvano that I can't stop wearing.

Believe it or not, there are days when I want to dress down and just slip into things that are comfy and easy. We spent most of the past couple of weeks visiting some of our favorite spots around Santa Cruz since we are moving back up to the Bay Area in just a few days! On one of those occasions, we had dinner at Aptos St. BBQ and caught the sunset over looking Seacliff State Beach in Aptos. I wore head to toe in Old Navy... a wrap-front top and boyfriend cardigan both in sea salt white and an amazing pair of cropped denim in bouquet pink. Old Navy has really awesome basics and timeless pieces that are essential to my wardrobe. What I love most is that, unlike other stores, it has a wide range of color choices of each style! To complete the look, I slipped into my pale pink ladybugs wedges by Loly in the Sky and a pink barrel satchel with lovely woven details from Handbag Heaven.

Pretty things make my heart melts. When I first saw this Willow Lane collar necklace by Samantha Wills, I knew I had to have it! I imagine myself wearing it for some kind of bridal shoot or maybe at my rehearsal dinner or even at my wedding (which reminds me I really need to start planning my wedding considering the fact that I have been engaged for three years)! Since it's going to be awhile until that special day, I decided to wear it with this beautiful periwinkle floral lace dress by Darling in an impromptu shoot in my bedroom. I also wore a lovely bubbles band ring made of sterling silver and cubic zirconia by Sterling Forever, I have been looking for dainty silver jewelry to go with my engagement ring and this is perfect!

I am loving the contrast of this soft yet bold look which was inspired by a few of my Loren Hope jewelry pieces. Typically I accessorize an outfit with jewelry after I have pulled the look together but not this time! I particularly love the Mia Cuff in Bloom, such a bold and strong design but with fun and feminine colors. I decided to create an outfit with a similar concept in mind, so I mixed some girly pastels with some statement pieces together. On the soft side, I've got this pink full skirt, lavender bag, and these buttery soft leather flats by Josefinas. On the bold side, I've got the stripes and these incredible Silvano sunglasses. Which side are you on? Perhaps both?
