Happy Halloween everyone! This year I was finally able to convince my fiancé to do couple costumes with me... Suzy Bishop and Sam Shakusky from Moonrise Kingdom! Moonrise Kingdom was my favorite film this summer, such a delightful piece with quirky characters! Believe it or not, I came up with this idea and pulled everything together only one day before a Halloween party! Luckily, I have a vast collection of vintage dresses so I already have this little 60s dress and Chris already has an army green shirt and shorts. I made the hat he wore by attaching a raccoon tail keychain to a furry hat of mine, and I also drew and handmade all the patches and pins (they are exactly the same as the ones on Sam's shirt in the film) and sew them onto his shirt! All I had to buy was a toy binocular and some fake flowers! Besides the fact that most people (those who have not seen the film) thought he was just a boy scout and I was just a school girl, I think we totally nailed it!

"It's fall, why is it hot? I want to layer up and wear oversize coats and dress like a hip chic European!"... that was a status I wrote on facebook about a month ago. Here I am (finally), sporting that look, with a tailored blazer coat! I am trying to go minimalistic this fall/winter, but that usually doesn't work since I always go back to my usual prints on prints and mix-matching. But hey at least I try! I am obsessed with this wool blazer coat with leather sleeves! It is such a staple piece and it is oh so chic! I paired it with high waisted acid wash jeans, floral chiffon blouse for a pop of color, killer spiked combat boots, and a snakeskin satchel for an edgy chic yet casual look!

The weather has finally cooled down, not cold enough for coats yet but sweaters are perfect! I am a sucker for sweaters... long, cropped, pullover, open front, light, chunky... you name it, I have it! One can never have too many sweaters! This is the last look I did for Ma Petite Shoe's lookbook rocking high on the Cat Tapestry Damsel by Jeffrey Campbell. Some of you might recall seeing my very own Cat Tapestry Damsel with full tapestry here, so it is no surprise I would love these cat tapestry and leather ones just as much! I rocked them with a half sheer half polkadots chiffon blouse, high waisted acid wash jeans, and a long sweater duster. Lastly, I completed the look with angular shades and structured handbag with amazing tooled details.

The weather these days are so inconsistent, some days are cold and some days are warm. On this very warm day my friend Jane and I stumbled upon this beautiful little lake in a neighborhood we are familiar with yet have never seen. This is another look I did for Ma Petite Shoe's lookbook, wearing Jeffrey Campbell's Darnell. I love the colorblocking of black, tan, and blue and decided to work my outfit around those three colors. Black and white stripes crop top, paired with vintage high waisted wool pants, accessorized with two tone floppy hat and contrast colorblock tote. Everything just kind of fell into place...

Perhaps I have been watching Once Upon A Time way too much, this shoot is looking a little like a fairytale character trapped in an enchanted forest. You know, a cape and all... It was unintentional but I really liked how it turned out! This is another look I did for Ma Petite Shoe's lookbook. I wore a vintage knit cape, a paisley silk dress by TBA, and a vintage Dooney to go with the Fourth Wall by Seychelles. These shoes are so darling with flirty t-strap design and vintage silhouette!

Please excuse me for the silly title but the cat on my shirt looks so clever and witty, I just had to... Cat prints are awesome, even better when they are vintage! This is another look I shot for Ma Petite Shoe's lookbook, wearing Open Fish wedges by All Black. They are made of real tilapia fish skin, I have never seen anything like it! I thought the grayish teal color of the shoes would give a nice contrast to my red and blush outfit. I love layering up for fall, not only am I able to be creative with different pieces, I can stay cozy while doing so! It's a win win!
