My apologies for the lack of new blog posts lately! Work has been busy, life has been crazy, juggling a full time job and blogging is a lot more difficult than you think! Anyways, when I went to NYC a couple of weeks ago, I made some new blogger friends. Francis and her boyfriend Josh were especially fun to hang out with and one morning we decided to wake up at 6am to make it to Central Park to shoot some photos before all the tourists swarmed in. We succeeded! And somehow our outfits were totally matching (I swear we didn't plan it) at Bow Bridge! It was super hot so this one-shoulder striped dress by Madewell was a total lifesaver. I paired it with a cute neck scarf from Urban Outfitters (apparently this trend isn't too big in NYC as multiple New Yorkers have commented on it, saying how they haven't seen that kind of styling and that they dig it), a lovely bucket bag from Sole Society, and these comfy yet stylish booties. I miss NYC so much!

When I was in NYC, I paid a little visit to the Lulu Frost studio. Lulu Frost is one of the designers/brands I started collaborating with from the very beginning and it was so nice to finally meet Lexi, their marketing director, after knowing her for like 4 years! The studio, located right around the corner from the Flatiron Building, was absolutely beautiful (photos don't do it justice)... the high ceiling, the giant windows, the natural light, the balcony, and all those fiddle leaf trees! Lexi gave me a tour of the space and then we spent the rest of the morning playing with jewelry, taking photos, and snapchatting/insta-storying! I had so much fun, I didn't want to leave!

07bumbleandbumble-hair-style-soho-nyc-newyork
Several months ago my world basically flipped upside down, everything I believed in just went "poof"! Since then, I have been living my life as if there is no tomorrow, with the #yolo and #justdoit mindset. Life is too short and I am not wasting any more time. I had the opportunity to go to NYC a little over a week ago and the first thing I did was to chop my hair off. I arrived quite late on a Wednesday night, woke up the next morning and headed straight to The House of Bumble (Bumble and bumble's headquarter). I had a lovely meeting over coffee with Rhiannon and Erin on the top floor where the reception and cafe are located, it is basically one giant open space with a nearly 360° view of the Meatpacking District! I spent a few hours there getting my hair colored, cut, and styled and I am so happy with the result! I have always wanted to go shorter but I always hesitate and end up looking the same, so this time I just went for it and I am so glad I did! It's really amazing what new hair can do! I certainly feel like a brand new me! Thank you Bumble and bumble for making me feel so great!

If you follow me on Instagram or other social media platforms, you would know that I was in New York City last week. It was a solo trip where there was a little bit of work but mostly pleasure. Coincidentally, every time I am in NYC, I happen to be there when the heatwave hits. This time is no different. It was SO hot, up in the high 90s every day I was there. And if you've been to NYC, you know how it is... humid, sticky, stuffy, like an oven and you never knew you could sweat that much! There were times where I couldn't physically be outside and had to go back to chill (literally) at the hotel. I made some new friends during this trip (I will talk about this in another post) and we decided to wake up super early one morning to take photos in Central Park. I thought this particular outfit would look amazing by the Cherry Hill Fountain! I wore a pleated dot-print chiffon dress by Banana Republic, classic black suede heels, cute olive and black striped handbag by Henri Bendel, paired with a leather jacket (yes, it was a prop, definitely not leather weather) to create that urban yet feminine look! Stay tuned, tons more NYC posts to come!
