A few weeks ago, I got to spend my morning sipping coffee with Karsten Ranitzsch, Nespresso's Head of Coffee, at the uber chic Nespresso Boutique in downtown San Francisco. It was a real treat learning about the culture of Nespresso while tasting a couple of its newest flavors (Milano and Palermo). In addition, Mr. Ranitzsch also introduced us to the different VertuoLine coffee makers and even did a few demos! It was a very fun and informative morning but I must admit... the best part was getting gifted my own VertuoLine Evoluo machine, along with some fancy glasswares and tons of coffee capsules (Vanizio and Caramelizio are my favorites while my fiancé loves Intenso)! I have been quite obsessed with the machine at work but I am so excited I now have my own at home! Thank you Nespresso!

Halloween is just around the corner, time to make some treats! I decided to make some fun Halloween cookies with the easiest shortbread cookies recipe ever! They are so buttery and delicious, you won't believe how little ingredients is involved and how simple it is to make. Believe it or not... eggs aren't even involved!

What you need: 1 stick unsalted butter, 1 cup flour, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/2 cup corn starch

Preheat oven to 325 degree. Soften/melt butter, thoroughly mix in the flour, sugar, and starch. Once the dough is ready, roll it out with a rolling pin to about half an inch thick. Use your favorite cookie cutters and cut out the pieces. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Let cool and then decorate it however you'd like!

Fall is my favorite season, but unfortunately we haven't exactly experienced it yet here in the San Francisco Bay Area. The weather is still fairly warm, so spotting Fall pieces with bare legs will do for now! I normally go for neutrals but am so glad I chose navy with this poncho. I paired it with this amazing suede skirt with grommet details, a simple knit top, and these super comfy suede loafers. Oh, here's a fun fact... I didn't realize my poncho has buttons on the side and pockets until half way through the day and I was so stoked!

I love plaid, but I love windowpane even more. Windowpane is like a sleeker and cleaner kind of plaid. It's just a little more elevated if you know what I mean! I am absolutely obsessed with this sweater coat from my work (I work at Le Tote as their in-house stylist if you don't already know)... chunky, cozy, classy. I thought it would be fun to pair it with a windowpane button-up, print on print because why not? I am also rocking some Levi's, these super comfy combat booties, and a gorgeous wool and leather tote. It's finally starting to feel like Fall and I am enjoying every bit of it!

This outfit best represents the weather we are currently experiencing in the San Francisco Bay Area where summer and fall combine. When you pair matching windowpane co-ords of the summer with a lightweight leatherette jacket from fall, you get the ultimate transitional look from one season to another! I don't know about you but I love wearing neutrals in fall (well, more like year round) but occasionally I would throw in a pop of color to give the outfit a little boost. I mean, don't you think my red lips and my new favorite Coach bag in the sweetest rose print make the outfit a little more exciting?

These days I am trying to rock all my Fall pieces any chance I get but the weather is just not cooperating. It is mid October but feels like summer, up in the high 70s/ low 80s and I am so over it. I just want to get cozy with layers and wrap myself up in scarves, is that so much to ask for? Luckily, the morning is still a bit breezy so I was able to take my new fringe suede jacket out for a spin. I love the look of suede for Fall, its richness really sets the mood. I paired the jacket with a gingham maxi shirtdress with high slit on the sides and these awesome mule booties. Hopefully the weather cools down soon so I can wear this over and over again!
