Spontaneously took these shots the other day... just me, myself, and a tripod. My bedroom gets the best light, usually around 4 o'clock when the sun is softer but still bright. When I was editing the photos, I was debating whether to keep the colors or turn it black and white. I really wanted to show the gorgeous color of this dress gifted to me by Lulu's. But at the same time I also want to focus on all the details only the black and white would capture. I might have lost the vibrant yellow color but at least the cut out details and different textures are emphasized.
PS. You can check out the colored version on my lookbook.

I suppose I am quite detail oriented when it comes to everything. I recently got this chiffon top with denim collar and cuffs from my work, and I knew I would wear it with my burgundy high waisted riding pants but I didn't think much of the shoes. When I put this outfit on yesterday morning I was deciding what shoes to wear and then I remember (sometimes I forget what I have because I have ALOT of shoes) these vintage denim booties I have... Oh my! They are the exact shade of denim! Excellent!

The day I wore this outfit, a few people asked me if my bag and shoes are from the same brand/company because they match so perfectly. No, they are not. But yes, they are a perfect match. I am not sure if anyone notice, but lately I have been really into matching my bags with my shoes. By doing so, your outfits become more cohesive. Not to mention it is always fun to be a little matchy matchy! Let's move on to the dress, shall we? I love this darling little number with peter pan sailor collar and cute little buttons on the back. It is so simple but so lovely. The rich olive green color also looks really nice with the contrast tote and shoes in shades of nude and black.

Bits and pieces of colors everywhere! A dress with simple silhouette, lovely pleats, and contrast trim and collar. Amazing colorblock oxfords with metallic gold details (I think that's the best part of the shoes)! Keeping this short and sweet because I have to get ready for work now! But there you have it, a fun and easy summer look!

Oh my! I am in love... with this amazing dress full of billiard balls Seiko of D4DISCUS gifted me! I mean, did you ever thought billiard balls would look so cute on a dress? I certainly didn't! The colorful balls look amazing against the teal background, the drop waist design is lovely, and the peter pan collar... is peter pan collar! As a vintage love, I also appreciate the fact that this dress is made of vintage jersey fabric from the 80s. To complement this vintage inspired piece, I thought this old town mural would be the perfect backdrop.

Oh, how I wish this is my bike! I have an ugly mountain bike which is not picture worthy, but thank goodness for friends with cute bikes though! My dear friend Natalie (who also has a blog and takes most of my photos) let me borrow her vintage JC Penny bike for this spontaneous shoot. I did not plan on taking pictures that day but she insisted and I am glad she did! I love the print on this chiffon top, it reminds me of botanical drawings which are much better than all the typical floral prints out there. And what do you know... I just happen to have the perfect pair of vintage shorts to go with it!
