As I mentioned in my last post that a year ago at this time I was in Italy and France. I love Paris, it is definitely one of my top three favorite European cities (the others are Copenhagen and London). Last time (back when I was 14) I was only in Paris for a day and the Louvre was closed, so this time I explored as much as I could and even took a day trip to Versailles! It was magical!

Buon giorno! Last year at this time I was traveling in Italy and France. All the imageries and memories are still vivid, it is hard to believe that a year has gone by. This was the second time I traveled to Europe. I was only 14 the first time I went and it did not mean much to me then. I really appreciated all the different cultures and architectures this time around. And as an art major, being in the Sistine Chapel, climbing up the steps of the Coloseum, and walking around Florence gave me a new perspective and meaning. Here are some photos I took in Italy...
The Coloseum, Rome.
Trevi Fountain, Rome.
Vintage ruched and pleated floral dress, vintage sweater, vintage Dooney & Bourke purse.
Sistine Chapel, Vatican.
Photography was not allowed inside the Sistine Chapel, but I couldn't help myself!
Castel Nuovo, Naples.

Once again, I broke the rules and took some pictures. I HAD to!

I swear this was a coincidence, coincidence at its best! My living room is made of tiffany blue decor and after painting my nails I realized they match perfectly! Talk about "dress accordingly, live stylishly" (subtitle of my blog).

Dress Accordingly, Live Stylishly.

I am all for pattern on pattern if it's done right. Either have a subtle pattern on a bold pattern or a subtle pattern on another subtle pattern, but never a bold pattern on a bold pattern. That's when things get tricky. I pair this semi-sheer bird print blouse with a striped mini. I have a few things with bird prints but I was mostly drawn to the color of this one, it reminds me of red bean ice cream. And stripes... you can never go wrong with stripes. These photos were taken in front of this huge blue Victorian house a few blocks from my place that I find myself stare at everytime we drive by. I couldn't help it but to head over there to snap some photos. Luckily, there is a for sale sign up so it is unoccupied. Maybe next time, on a quieter afternoon, I will get onto its lovely porch and take more photos.
Fun2Fun bird print blouse from my work Sway.

So, I normally try to refrain myself from using the word delicious to describe anything that is inedible. When it comes to Jill Stuart's Spring 2012 collection, I just can't seem to find a more appropriate word. It is feminine, it is dreamy, it is delicious! I can't get my eyes off of all the chiffon and dessert-like palette!
