Brunch is my favorite meal of all time and I take it very seriously. There are plenty of good brunch spots in San Francisco but Barzotto in the Mission is definitely one of my favorites. Barzotto is a pasta bar on Valencia near 24th with great dinner and even better brunch! The house granola with greek yogurt, honey and fruits tastes so fresh, the french toast is simply fluffy and buttery goodness, the scramble with broccolini is hearty, and the maple glazed porchetta is just scrumptious. One of the greatest thing about Barzotto is that their normal menu is also available during brunch hours! That means I can order pasta, like my favorite pappardelle with slow braised beef and mushrooms. Yum! Last but not least, Barzotto recently introduced a large-format punch cocktail, served during brunch... marsala, a house allspice cordial, prosecco, grapefruit, lime, rum raisin and bitters, and garnished with pomegranate seeds and grapefruit wedges. So refreshing and delicious! Awesome food and awesome decor, what more can you ask for?

Last outfit post from Seattle, finally! Prior to this trip, I did my research (mostly via Google and Instagram) of places to check out in Seattle and after browsing through many sites and feeds, the Seattle public library made it onto my list. The structure is amazing, all geometrical and all glass. These photos were shot in the walkway outside the library since it was closed on Christmas Day. I wore pops of red... this shawl-cardigan with red and green stripes and fringes, layered with a striped flannel shirt from Madewell, black denim and these darling red suede booties also from Madewell. On a different note, I am actually happy that I got so much content from Seattle. It's been raining here in the SF Bay Area and I haven't been able to shoot anything!

Some things never change... every winter my skin feels dry and tense and I am anxiously looking for products that can help me stay hydrated. Actually, now that I think about it, it's not just winter that my skin is craving for hydration. Believe it or not, just being in different kinds of environment (whether it be the office, the gym, or just out and about running errands) can greatly affect your skin as well due to factors such as change of temperature, humidity and pollution. Luckily, Clarins came to the rescue with their new super-quenching duo - Hydra-Essentiel Bi-phase serum and moisturizing cream. "Hydra-Essentiel quenches thirsty skin with organic Leaf of Life extract, a highly-resilient succulent plant that boosts skin’s ability to retain precious moisture for all-day hydration." I have been using this duo for a couple of weeks now and my skin feels quenched and radiant! You can learn more about this ultimate super quenching duo here. Oh, did I mention they also smell really good?

Copal was a hidden gem I stumbled upon while wandering around Seattle. I peeked through its window on Christmas Day when it was closed, but the space looked so amazing that I decided to go back the following day. Hands down, one of the best visually pleasing restaurants I have ever been to... the tiles on the bar, the mint color, the iguana on the wall, and that darling arch door way. Oh, even the restrooms were beautiful! Last but not least, let's talk food! I had the watermelon agua fresca, watermelon salad, and smashed avocado with queso. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious. Great decor, exceptional bites, I highly recommend Copal!

Continuing my Seattle OOTDs... these photos were shot in Pioneer Square, just outside London Plane to be exact. This particular spot reminds me so much of Europe. It's so darling! That day I layered up in a striped turtleneck tee from Madewell, leather pinafore, tights, leather booties and this gorgeous patchwork leather satchel by Coach. Maybe it's the new year, or maybe not, but I am yearning to travel a lot more this year. So many more places to check off my bucket list.

My trip to Seattle somehow turned into a food tour (not complaining though). There were so many places I wanted to check out that we were eating 3-4 times a day! On the first day, we went to Capitol Hill and had brunch at Odd Fellows. I had the baked eggs with ham, cheese and spinach and Shirley had the seasonal vegetable hash with lemon ricotta and fried egg. Both came with homemade biscuits... so fluffy and buttery! We also ordered a side of sausage patty and a couple of mocha. The food was amazing and I love how they were served on a skillet (food staying warm is always a plus). To sum it up... Good vibe, good space, good food!

If you follow my Instagram, you would know I spent a few days in Seattle during the holiday. Believe it or not, it was my first time even though Seattle is only a little over an hour of plane ride away. For some reason I just never made it up to the Pacific Northwest! And since this is the first year my gal Shirley and I are both single during the holiday, we decided to go on a mini adventure together. I was prepared and arrived in Seattle with a giant list of things to do and places to see, actually more like places to eat, I think on a particular day we ate four times! I am going to do a few separate posts focusing on food/restaurants so stay tuned for that. Until then, enjoy a glimpse of Seattle through my eyes...
