We recently moved to a new apartment so that I can have an extra room to hold of my clothes but it is already packed!!! I tried to get a panoramic view of it, got cut up a little funny, but you get the idea.

I ended up only getting one big shoe shelf for now, the shoes on there are my favorite shoes, mostly chunky heels and platforms, the "bigger" shoes. Miu Miu, Celine, Jeffrey Campbell, etc. etc. All the boxes you see in the closet (on the floor and up above), those are all shoes! I don't know where else to put them!

All the dresses are all the left side of the closet. Tops/skirts are on the right. Storage unit on the far right are sweaters/cardigans, the one next to it are shorts. Then I have an extra rack on the other side of the shoe shelf holding my winter coats (and that's not all of it i have coats stashed under the bed and everywhere else). :/ And lastly, there are more boxes of clothes and piles of clothes to the right that still need to be organized!

More room please!

Please bear with me as I transition back into the normal life, I am almost done with unpacking and organizing at my new apartment. Yesterday, we went to Ikea in Palo Alto to look for shelving unit for my shoe shelf and other random things. I thought it would also be a perfect opportunity to snap some photos in all the different rooms while I was there, but sadly all the rooms were not picture-worthy, so in the end I resorted to the bright yellow wall inside the parking lot. I was quite pleased with how the bright yellow complimented my rather neutral outfit. I am obsessed with this sheer embroidered kimono jacket I recently purchased from F21. It certainly isn't a typical F21 piece, I love how vintage it looks and how beautiful and detailed it is. I love it! As for my Jeffrey Campbell tapestry Lita, they are the very first pair of JC I purchased so I am especially fond of them. And speaking of Lita... I am dying for the new Lita Patch!

The past week or so was overwhelmed with work, my new promotion, and moving! With everything falling into the same week, I was too fluttered and exhausted to blog, but I have returned! I am officially a manager at Sway Santa Cruz! I have been with this company for some time now, used to work at the Berkeley location back when I was studying at UC Berkeley. Of the six stores we have in the Bay Area, my store is the farthest away. However, there is an upside to that. We basically do everything ourselves and I have to say my favorite part has always been styling mannequins and making displays. Besides being a manager, I have also been creating window display for all six stores since a year ago. Art and fashion? I am always down!

While I was working more hours, I also moved! Chris and I have been looking to move to a bigger place, mainly because of my endless amount of things. A two-bedroom unit opened up in our apartment complex and we took it! We love our apartment and its location so it was perfect. Now, we have an extra room that we are using as closet/office. I am still in the midst of setting it up and organizing, but that will be an ongoing process. I really can't wait til I have my shoe wall! I used to have shoes everywhere, some under the bed, some in boxes, sometimes I can't even remember what shoes I have since I can't see them. I can't wait til that problem is solved! In the meanwhile, I leave you with a glimpse of my closet. What you see here are all dresses, but that's not even all of them. They are about 1/3 of my dresses and 1/5 of my clothes. Afterall, I am a girl that never wears pants or jeans...

This vintage dress reminds me of the carnival! Everytime I put it on, I must wear my carousel horse necklace with it. They are the perfect pair. I love the colorful yet muted stripes on this dress as well as the two white trims that go down the front and back with tiny wooden buttons... it's anything but ordinary. It was originally a maxi dress but I hemmed it short, all those stripes would be too overwhelming and I think it's cuter as a mini dress! As for the necklace, I had found this little carousel horse somewhere a long time ago and I decided to make it into a necklace. Oh and how I adore this well-structured hair bow I got from H&M this past weekend, though I don't think my ombre hair looks right in braids...

I can't think of a better piece to wear than this denim dress with cut out back to help me bear the heat. The weather has been so incredibly hot and beautiful in Santa Cruz lately, all I want to do is to play outside and enjoy the sunshine, although quite frankly I don't like being tanned. I paired this simple yet awesome dress with an amazing owl purse which has a story of its own. One day I was working and a girl came in with this owl purse (in a different color), I knew immediately I had to have it. She told me she got hers a few years ago from a vendor at the Marine County flea market. Hopeless, I thought. After hours of searching, I had successfully hunt down the vendor whose family business makes these gorgeous genuine leather products! They are completely handmade too! So there you have it, my little treasure hunt story!

Woke up this morning to the bright sunshine and heat, all I could think of was to eat frozen treats! But since I didn't have any and it was probably not a good idea to have a popsicle for breakfast, I decided to dress like one instead. I adore this orange pleated chiffon dress... fun, bright, and summery! I paired it with a vintage seafoam belt, these 70s embroidered platforms, and a lovely 60s floral bag that has the perfect orange accent to go with my dress. Oh, and did I mention you can get your hands on this cute little dress? It is available in my shop - it's not her, it's me.
