If only the wind calm down a bit, today would be a perfect day! Although it was super sunny, I actually didn’t wear this outfit out, the wind was a bit chilly so I wore a cardigan and some tights. But it’s such a sweet Spring look so when I got home, I took the unnecessary pieces off and snapped some pictures on the balcony for you!

That is one of my favorite skirt! I love everything hearts but it’s really difficult to find clothes with hearts on them that are not tacky. I was so happy when I got this on etsy a couple of weeks ago!

And my Chloe bag which I’ve had for like, hmm, I think 4 years… I’ve only used it a few times. It’s definitely one of my most beloved purse and I’m scared I would get the cream canvas part dirty! Hahaha!

Vivetta!

Oh my! Vivetta! Love love love everything Vivetta. Vivetta, by Vivi Ponti, is an up and coming Italian designer. I adore all the ruffles and bows!

I, very fortunately, had a chance to speak with Miss Vivi herself and she loves my teddy bear purses! And better yet… we are doing an exchange! Teddy bear purses and apparel in exchange for Vivetta’s I Love You Blouse and such! I say YES! I can’t wait!

Bear with me...

In the meanwhile, I have been brainstorming and working on some new projects. As most of you know, I crochet and sell some of my creations on etsy. Whimsically disturbing food-related wearable things and what not. I have come to realize that crocheting really takes up too much of my time. I sew too but I never really “invest” in that field, but now that’s mainly what I have been doing. Sewing, to me, is less time-consuming comparing to crocheting. I am rather excited about my new projects and I will soon be launching my new etsy shop filled with them! Some of the things I have been making are teddy bear chain purses. I have only made 4 so far because it’s really hard to find decent looking big bears. But today I got lucky and found 3 more and one of them is really big!

I never knew beheading teddy bears can be so satisfying! Heh. Basically, I behead a teddy bear, take out the stuffing, sew in a lining, re-sew the bear head, put eyelets/rivets in the ears, chain it up and there you have a teddy bear purse! I feel like I need a clever name for them and right now the only thing I can think of is “bear with me”, too cheesy? What do you think?

A New Chapter

Blogspot deleted my blog for no apparent reason. It actually happened once before and I contacted them and retrieved my blog but this time I am getting no response whatsoever. So now I have to start a new one... just sad that all my old posts are gone forever.

It’s been almost 3 months since I graduated from UC Berkeley. It’s been 2 months since I moved to Santa Cruz. Unfortunately, I am sad to say that this new year has not been very good. Lots of things have been happening and my 4-month old kitten whom I had only adopted for less than a month and a half passed away from a heart murmur. :(

I am an oil painter but now that I am no longer in school, it’s hard to paint or have the space I need to paint. I miss painting. I leave you with my latest finished piece.
