Bedroom is a strange place. Growing up, it was where I spent the most time in, with its door shut hoping my parents would leave me alone. But now as an adult and having my own apartment, the bedroom has become a place I don't frequent often. When we moved to this apartment last year, we chose the smaller of the two bedrooms as our bedroom and the bigger one (actually almost twice as big) as the office/closet (which I can't wait to show you very soon). Honestly, I haven't really done much to the bedroom, it is very minimal. Perhaps I will revisit and give it a makeover later this year! We shall see... And in case you missed it, check out Part 1 and Part 2 of my apartment tour!

Winter isn't over yet but I am already thinking of lighter and more airy shades for Spring. To me, light gray is the perfect transitional color. In fact, I think light gray can easily be considered a pastel! Anyways, James Jeans recently sent me a pair of their ultra-femme slim boyfriend jeans in twilight and I completely fell in love! Not only do they fit like a dream, the light gray wash is equally dreamy! I love it so much I decided to spot an all gray ensemble! I paired it with a sleeveless turtleneck sweater with an awesome front slit, a ribbed knit top, and the perfect light gray fedora. Definitely not feeling gray about wearing gray!

I like plaid, check, tartan or whatever you call it but I typically only wear it around the holidays. Strangely, it seems like this print is lingering for a bit longer this time around. Maybe I am starting to like it more? Maybe because pink is involved? Either way, I am really digging this check coat. I bundled up with a Uniqlo heatteah long sleeve tee, Gap legging jeans, chunky knit scarf, and the Alexa mini crossbody bag in the most awesome black wool combo by Danielle Nicole. Oh! Don't forget to check out my shoes! These shearling lined leather boots by Laidback London are the coziest and I love the hand-beaded and stitched details too!

Emails can wait, but your well being can't! Do you roll out of bed and go straight to your inbox? That's what I usually do and I am going to change that! One of my new year resolutions is to spend more time away from technology and enjoy the little things in life. Here are some tips:
- Stretch when you wake up! It's a simple gesture but most of us don't do it. Seriously, it just feels good!
- Lit a candle, enjoy a cup of tea (of coffee if you prefer)! Open up the window, step out to your balcony, breathe in some fresh air, and keep that computer close for a little longer!
- We love to browse the net, no doubt about it. But give your eyes a little rest and pick up a book instead. In my case, I love checking out cookbooks!

I have a love hate relationship with polka dots. They can be real good but they can also be real bad. In this case, it is spot on! I first saw this coat at Target around Thanksgiving, tried it on, loved it, but told myself "NO! I don't need more coats!" I saw it again around Christmas and as tempted as I was I managed to walk away from it. Then last week, I saw it again and I wanted it again. After seeing how it got marked down 50% off I headed straight to the register! I must say it was meant to be! I paired it with a colorblock jeweled collar sweater (to go with the jeweled buttons on the coat), simple black denim, a tiny tote, and these stunning strappy leather booties!
