While I figure out what to do with my new hair, I am trying out all sort of weird things. This look turned out to be quite 90s without having intended to be. I look like an edgy 90s kid with floral button up, high waisted acid wash jeans, vintage patchwork leather bag and side ponytail. I couldn't resist throwing in my Jeffrey Campbell Tripoli in the mix though. As for the title, why 1996 you ask? That is the year I moved to America from Hong Kong. Feeling a little sentimental today,
trying to stay positive and appreciate the good things in life.

I am enjoying every bit of this Spring... warm sun, light breeze, and little blossoms flying everywhere. My outfit here goes perfect with the airy weather. It is light, flowy, and well, girly and floral! I created my look around this lovely floral chiffon skirt gifted from For Love & Lemons. I remember eyeing this little number when I first saw it on Ashley Smith in the Spring campaign. It is so darling! I paired it with a blush knit sweater, ruffled socks, and these awesome vintage denim booties! Oh, and do you notice something different? I have a new haircut! To most people, this is still long hair, but it is short to me. I haven't had hair this short in like 10 years! And guess what? I cut and ombre-ed it myself too! I can't remember the last time I went to a salon, I just can't understand why people would spend hundreds of dollars to get their hair done when I've been doing it all by myself this whole time! What do you think?

If you mix mod and modern together, this look is what you've got.
Symmetrical black and white pattern or print always resemble mod to me,
just like these awesome half and half socks! And what's a better way to
show them off than with a pair of transparent lucite heels? Oh, and the
dress... I simply looove it! This dress gifted to me from Choies has the most awesome strappy cage design and it can be easily dressed up or down, it's perfect!

What I love most about Spring is that everything seems to be livelier, brighter, and simply more fun. Now is the perfect time to pull out all those pastels and playful colors from your wardrobe! I am wearing a lovely dotted blouse and strappy wedges Dolce Vita kindly gifted me. I wanted to wear these two things together but I didn't want a look composed of just white, black, and brown... Problem solved! I paired them with these awesome apricot colored pants! Just look at what a huge difference a colorful pair of pants can make on a rather neutral outfit without being overpowering! Lastly, I complemented the apricot color with the blues of the Dira bracelet by Callixto. It is such a gorgeous piece made with natural stones... moonstone, lapis lazuli, and agate.

Hello April! The weather has been real nice lately, high in the 70s with warm sun and light breeze. It does however cool down a lot in the evening, so layering is a must! In this look, I am wearing a sheer paneled fishtail dress layered with a denim jacket and an awesome vintage tribal print sweater gifted to me from Heirra Vintage. I accessorized with a boater hat and slipped on my new Jeffrey Campbell Rumi boots (my favorite part of the boots is the beautiful stitching in the front). While I was editing these photos, I noticed something funny... the stripes in the middle of the tribal print and the sheer paneling of the dress match! Looks like even my subconscious self likes to play with matching details too!
