As I get older, my style has become pretty predictable. However, I still go out of my comfort zone once in awhile especially when I am traveling to locales with a specific vibe. On my first day to Big Sur during Memorial Day weekend (after a night of hiking in unflattering clothes covered in dirt), I wanted to dress up a little and perhaps feel like a human again. When I spotted this maxi dress at work, I knew I had to bring it with me to Big Sur and create a roadtrip inspired bohemian look. It's hard to find a good paisley print but this one is just perfect. I also love the silhouette and the ascot bow tied at the neckline. I styled it with a pair of leather ankle booties by Madewell, a small backpack by INC International Concepts, a wool fedora hat, and my new classic sunnies by Ray-Ban that I can't seem to take off. The only thing that's missing from this outfit is an acoustic guitar and a Westfalia.

Jeremy and I have been traveling all over but it's been awhile since we have done some his and her style. One of our favorite brands Fossil just rolled out a bunch of summer pieces, so we took them out for spin on a little roadtrip. With watches on our wrists and bags in the trunk, we drove down the windy Highway 17 to Santa Cruz for the weekend. Don't let these watches trick you... they look normal but they are actually smartwatches! Jeremy has the Hybrid Smartwatch Q Grant in dark brown leather and I have the Hybrid Smartwatch Q Accomplice in navy blue stainless steel. Talk about mixing classic and modern (and technology)! We love to travel but quite frankly packing light isn't our jam ::laugh:: so finding bags that are practical yet stylish is key. He is crazy about his Defender Rolltop Backpack while I adore my Maya Large Hobo. It is the perfect size, not too bulky but somehow fits everything I need. Did I mention the leather is buttery soft? I styled everything with my summer-perfect plaid dress from Azalea and him, shirtless of course.

We went straight from vacation to staycation just three days after returning from St. Louis and Chicago. Some might call us crazy but it was much needed. Unlike walking miles after miles trying to squeeze in as many activities as we can, our weekend getaway at Chaminade Resort & Spa was laid back and relaxing. I lived in Santa Cruz for five years but never knew Chaminade existed! Even though it is nestled up in the woods, it is conveniently located just 10 to 15 minutes away from downtown Santa Cruz and Capitola. The highlight of our stay (besides hanging out by the pool soaking up the sun while sipping margaritas) had to be our stunning suite! I was pleasantly surprised by the modern yet rustic aesthetic and all the quirky finishing touches. It was a great weekend to get away from the city and get in touch with nature. And now you can too! Exclusive for my readers only... Save 15% off the best available rate when traveling to Santa Cruz and Chaminade Resort & Spa through 2017. Book here to get the special rate.

I was so excited to be visiting the Midwest for the first time, but was not thrilled about the hot and humid weather. St. Louis was up in the 90s when we were there but that of course did not stop me from exploring. Luckily, I was prepared and packed just the right outfits! I wandered around Forest Park and the Art Museum in a lemon printed off shoulder top by INC International Concepts. This top is flowy, light, and I love how the top portion is white while the bottom is black. So darling! I wore it with a pair of simple black shorts and strappy sandals also by INC International Concepts. Believe me, sometimes it's hard to stay stylish when you are practically melting!

If you saw my last post on Chase Park Plaza, you might have gotten a glimpse of this outfit. I absolutely adore this Azalea off-shoulder cropped top! Actually, that might be an understatement. There is just something very casual yet chic about it. Not to mention how it has three of my favorite things in one - stripes, ruffles, and the off-shoulder silhouette. I paired it with this super fun two toned denim skirt with asymmetrical raw hem (also by Azalea), these amazing suede mules with croco leather heels by Donald J Pliner, and Michael Kors purse. This will be my go-to look for the rest of the summer, what's yours?
