Sacré-Cœur, Paris

Sacré-Cœur atop Montmartre in Paris is exactly what you would imagine it to be. Its Romano-Byzantine styled architecture, built of travertine stone, is grand, beautiful, and absolutely breathtaking. The view from there is amazing and even more spectacular if you climb up to the top of the dome. The spiral (and very narrow) stairs were challenging but very much worth it. There is something quite haunting (in a good way) when you walk around up there looking out at Paris as far as the eyes could see. I've said it before but I will say it again... An overcast Paris is the Paris of my dreams with everything being the most perfect shades of white, cream, and gray. Therefore, it is only appropriate that I match my surrounding with an equally neutral outfit. I adore these striped trousers by Current Air, they fit like a dream and the length is perfect for my petite frame. I styled them with an off-shoulder sweater, suede pumps by Madewell and a pom pom beret from Charlotte Russe.
