Farmhouse Inn and Sonoma

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to spend a day in Sonoma and enjoyed an amazing stay at Farmhouse Inn with the wonderful FourTwoNine team and some fellow influencers. We checked in around noon and dived right into our day full of activities!

First stop... lunch and wine tasting at the beautiful Macrostie Winery overlooking a picturesque vineyard. The food was AMAZING (I took so many photos but this blog post would be much longer than it already is if I were to share them all) and every course was paired with a wine. We took some photos around the winery with photographer Molly DeCoudreaux before heading back to Farmhouse Inn to have our individual editorial photo session with Molly which will be featured in an upcoming FourTwoNine issue.

While I was waiting for my turn, I took a million (literally) photos of my room. Apparently, I had the best room on the property and I believe it... the vaulted ceiling, the modern yet rustic decor, the comfy bed and cozy blanket, the double sided fireplace, the enormous marble bathroom (the bathroom has a hallway and a steam room and a jetted tub), and the spacious deck! Oh and there is even a walk-in closet! It was luxurious to its finest!

After my photo session with Molly (who was a pleasure to work with), we had a little bit of free time before dining at Farmhouse's very own Michelin starred restaurant. We had the whole place to ourselves and Joe and Catherine (owners of Farmhouse Inn) even joined us! Dinner was scrumptious... started with fresh oyster and tuna, followed by a squash and lobster soup, before indulging in perfectly cooked elk tenderloin (I have never had elk before and it was amazing), and finished with hazelnut ice cream. In addition, each course was also paired with a specific wine, even the dessert! But the feast didn't end there! We then headed out to the fire pit and roasted marshmallows to make s'mores while sipping hot apple cider! But wait... when I got back to my room that evening, cookies and milk were waiting for me! How thoughtful was that?

I woke up feeling extra refreshed, thanks to the jetted tub and fluffy bed! We ran around taking some last-minute photos before heading to breakfast (again, it was delicious) and then we began our journey back to San Francisco!

One of the highlight of my stay has to be the two cats on the property - Henry and Charlotte. Henry, an orange tabby, was the sweetest and I got to play with him for a good amount of time while Charlotte, the black cat, was a bit shy. Often times when I am away traveling I miss my own cats so having these two cats around was extra darling to me.

Special thank you to FourTwoNine for organizing this amazing getaway and thank you Farmhouse Inn for hosting us! All in all, I had the most marvelous time and it was so wonderful to have made some new friends as well!

  2. These photos are stunning!! I love the golden one of all the vineyards and of course all the pictures of pretty wine glasses are gorgeous, too. It looks like you had a nice stay there. Can't wait to see the editorial feature. :)

  3. Loving the photos! I really like the light wood floors in the hallway, it goes really well with all of the white.
