Dearly Painted

If you follow my instagram, you probably saw this awesome painted clutch last week. It is one of the best thing ever and really special to me because I myself am a painter. I studied art (oil painting focus) at UC Berkeley but haven't painted anything since graduation due to the lack of studio space. Painting with oil needs good ventilation and takes weeks to dry, definitely not a good idea especially with two cats running around! Yesterday, however, I picked up the paintbrush for the first time in 4 years for a new project which will soon be revealed. It reminded me how much I miss it! Sorry I got a little carried away, now back to the outfit...

I wanted to create a fun look by bringing out the amazing colors seen on this clutch by My A La Mode. I chose a lovely vintage cable knit crop tank from Vintage Scandal, just like you would with a painting by starting with a white canvas. I paired it with these chic and comfy high waisted silk shorts by Yumi Kim, matching fuchsia lips, and sparkling glittery heels!
