Some Dots, a Dam, and a Bridge.

October 29, 2011

I just got back from a mini getaway to Las Vegas! I haven't gone on vacation in a year and this was much needed. Although it was only for three days, I enjoyed being away from work and reality for a little bit! I wanted to explore other things rather than just casinos, shows and nightclubs. We took a day trip to the Hoover Dam and saw the newly built bypass, also known as the Mike O'Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, and apparently it is the first concrete-steel arch bridge built in the US and the longest concrete arch bridge in the Western Hemisphere. I drove pass the Hoover Dam on the way to Arizona with my family nearly 15 years ago but this time we walked on it and went inside to see the power plants. Enough of facts... when I was packing for the trip, I knew I wanted to wear this amazing vintage dress for the Hoover Dam tour. I adore the burgundy and black dots and paisley. I actually had the perfect hat to go with the dress but unfortunately I forgot to bring it with me!

  2. I know I said I don't want to bleach my hair again but I think I will... bleach it all over and do a more intense red. Winter needs a pop of color!
