When it comes to Fall, one of the things I am most excited about is wearing scarves. I have a vast collection of scarves... solids, prints, cashmere, knit, fur... you name it, I've got it! However, I don't have any novelty ones so I am quite thrilled to add this "Hello Goodbye" scarf to the bunch! It is what it is and it is simply amazing! I paired it with a striped top, high waisted trousers, and this lovely leather bucket bag. Life is too short to dress seriously, this scarf is a great reminder of that!

The heatwave this week is no joke... hands down one of the hottest week I have ever experienced in my 19 years living in the Bay Area! Normally when you roll into San Francisco itself, there will be a blanket of fog and the weather would be 10 degrees less than anywhere else; but not this time. SF has been cooking up like an oven and luckily I haven't yet put my summer clothes away! I have been wearing super easy pieces all week like this lovely printed romper. The long sleeves protect me from the sun while the lightweight material keeps me cool.

A little bit strange posting this Fall look we shot in Tahoe from a couple of weeks ago while we are getting this insane heatwave in the San Francisco Bay Area! It was early in the morning and the air was cold and crisp, I threw on this cozy plaid poncho which I've had for awhile and we ventured out for a walk. There were pinecones everywhere up in Heavenly and they were giant. I have never seen pinecones that big! Just keeping things casual in a tee, jeans and my new moccasins which I walked all over Tahoe in.

It's been quite a while since we've gone out of town so last weekend we decided to head to Tahoe! The weather was glorious, minus the high wind on our first day which made our gondola ride up to Heavenly a bit more exciting that we anticipated. The view from above was worth every sway, not to mention we even saw a black bear cub! We stayed at The Ridge Resort which kindly hosted us for two nights. It is the only on-mountain resort in Tahoe so it is no surprise that the sunset from there was breathtaking and the air was especially crisp! Another highlight of my trip was the chai tea latte from Driftwood Cafe. I am a chai latte enthusiast and I must say that the one at Driftwood was the best I've ever had. It was so good that I went back for another cup right before we left! Tahoe was a much needed getaway and I can't wait for another mini adventure elsewhere next!

Much like stripes, I also have a soft spot for spots. And when I say spots, I am not talking about polkadots, but more like swiss dots or irregular spots... like these awesome Soludos calf hair espadrilles! They are seriously awesome and incredibly comfortable! I took them out for a walk last weekend along with this lovely blush pink trench vest, zippered bodysuit, and high waisted denim shorts. So, there you have it... an easy breezy Sunday look!
