Happy Halloween everyone! I always end up going to the pumpkin patch too late when the field is no longer completely covered by pumpkins and only the yucky ones are left! Better late than never though because I need my obligatory pumpkin patch photos! I wore an embroidered floral dress from Romwe with a lovely houndstooth coat by Alice's Pig. You can never go wrong with houndstooth and I love this unusual combination of orange and charcoal. I accessorized with the most incredible purse ever by Helena+Troy. This charmed tassel mini lunchbox is some serious business, perfectly structured and made with sting ray leather! My oh my!

It is safe to say that an outfit typically has one or two focal points, you take a statement piece and work around it. Today's outfit, however, is not the case. I am bringing together some of my favorite pieces from this season, each with its own intricate details but they also compliment each other very well at the same time. First, when I saw this sweatshirt at F21 I couldn't believe my eyes (occasionally there is a thing or two from there that really surprises me). The beaded embroidery on the sleeves totally screams Isabel Marant to me. It is so beautifully done and of great quality too. I brought out the silverness of the beading with an amazing metallic embroidered rose print skirt. I love how voluminous it is and that it doesn't even have tulle or anything underneath to poof it out. As for the accessories, I am carrying the Cece bag by Lauren Merkin with gorgeous wine and black splatter calf hair details on the front and the Dance Ring in watermelon by Samantha Wills. Last but not least, the shoes! These Mila booties by Sam Edelman from Tilted Sole are thus far my favorite shoes this season. Beautiful burgundy suede and leather bedazzled with sparkly little stones and edgy gunmetal studded details in the back. They are perfect for fall and perfect for the holiday. Well, I hope you enjoy this look as much as I do. It is truly a details galore!

Is summer finally gone? Is fall truly here? I can't be quite sure. This is something you won't understand unless you live in California. Over the last 17 years of living in the golden state I have learned to always be prepared and dress in layers. Today's look is a perfect example. I was out and about in this lovely "Brunch at Sea Circus" abstract floral print silk maxi dress by Vamastyle (the name is too good I had to use it as the title) and once the sun started setting I threw on this amazing vintage crochet long sweater by Yves Saint Laurent. I usually stay away from the black and pink combo because it reminds me too much of high school when I called Hot Topic my favorite store and Avril Lavigne my favorite singer (I know you've been there too), but I think it works here.

What happens when you combine ultra soft leopard faux fur with translucent irregular scale-like pieces? You get the best of the both world and this awesome pullover! I have never seen anything it, it is simply so cool. This pullover by Red 23 is perfect for any occasion, you can dress it up or down, but mostly important it allows you to stay cozy while having that showstopping factor. I kept the look simple and paired it with a black asymmetrical skort, strappy croc leather booties, and white satchel.

If you are a frequent reader of my blog, you would know I love wearing jewelry. There isn't a time when I put together an outfit or go out without having any rings on my fingers. It just doesn't feel right. It is actually quite funny because 10 years ago I was the complete opposite! If I wore rings, I would always end up taking them off. As I get older, I learn to only acquire things that I truly want, things that I know will last and things that I know I will wear again and again. Same goes with jewelry. Quality is definitely better than quantity. One of my favorite jewelry designers is Samantha Wills. This jewelry siren (Samantha herself is stunning and often models her own design) who calls both Sydney and New York homes is taking the world by storm. It has been a real pleasure working with the wonderful SW team and what an honor to be able to interview Samantha herself!

All the images seen here are taken by me of my personal Samantha Wills collection. Specific details of each piece are listed at the end of this post. I also want to thank West Walnut for the beautiful gold deer antler. I love this piece whether it is just sitting on my coffee table on its own or when it is displayed with jewelry. If you love rustic with a touch of glam (gold), check out West Walnut for some amazing home decor and get 10% off with my promo code "TOSHIKO10". Now, read on and enjoy the interview!

This look is just another example of how I love to mix and match! I have had this tiered floral chiffon dress from Japan for years and I recently rediscovered it as I was renovating my closet-room (yes, my closet is actually the second bedroom in my apartment). I paired it with a faux fur vest, a zebra calf hair leather clutch by Lauren Merkin, and these amazing Sam Edelman two tone booties from DNA Footwear. Lastly, I piled on some statement jewelry such as this gorgeous Forever Rose cuff by Samantha Wills. Who says autumn wardrobe is boring? Mix some fur, floral, and animal print and have some fun!

Of all the locations I have taken photos at, this ought to be one of my favorites. You might recall seeing it before in my Coach collaboration post. It is a semi-abandoned field with fallen trees and trails, along the coast, in Santa Cruz. I love that this backdrop can evoke so many different kinds of moods and it is also quite perfect for fall. Today's look is a little bit romantic and a little bit edgy. This burgundy floral sweater is absolutely amazing. I love the feminine color and pattern, the oversize shawl drape collar, and most of all how cozy it is! I paired it with a matching deep burgundy lipstick (love to wear deeper shades of lip colors in the fall), a vintage babydoll dress, and these versatile suede chelsea booties that go with practically anything!
